Reporting to the Director of Administration, the Airport Manager will oversee the safe and efficient operations of the municipal airport, Grime Field I-74, a part of the National Airspace System. Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate airport activities, including maintenance, operation, planning, and promotion of services. Manage FAA & ODOT projects, events, and programs. Oversee and review aircraft operations. Build and maintain positive relationships with airport neighbors. Interpret and communicate airport functions to the public. Ensure compliance with codes and criteria. Collaborate with various agencies and professional groups such as the Federal Aviation Administration, Ohio Department of Transportation. Represent the airport at functions and events. Enforce flight safety and airport use regulations. Coordinate emergency procedures and facilities maintenance. Develop and execute airport standards, leases, contracts, and agreements. Maintain relationships/memberships with Aviation Organizations. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum three (3) years of airport experience, including one year in facility management. Minimum BA or equivalent in business management or aviation-related field. Special Requirements and Skills: Valid State driver's license or ability to obtain one. Valid BUSTR certification level A or ability to obtain one. Knowledge of FAA Aviation Circulars and Title 14 U.S. Code of Federal Regulation. Awareness of grant programs on Federal, State, and Local levels. Proficient in airport operations, including relevant regulations, emergency protocols, and experience in leasing and contract administration for facilities. Budget preparation and execution experience. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency in computer use. Selection Process: Background Investigation. Pre-employment Drug Screen.
