1858 Meeting House in Mechanicsburg, OH

The oldest building in Mechanicsburg is the 1858 Meeting House building located on Sandusky St.

Built in, you guessed it, 1858, the building housed two churches. Originally built for the Methodist congregation, the church was purchased by the Second Baptist Church who occupied the building until the 1980’s. The Champaign County Preservation Alliance took over the building in 2002 and has worked hard to revitalize the building, turning it into a quaint event space. 

​Recently, the Champaign County Preservation Alliance was awarded a grant from the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to help with the restoration of the windows. If you are interested in renting out this beautiful building for your event, you can find out more here. ​
