March 28th from 6-9PM at Freshwater Farms of Ohio, enjoy a Murder Mystery dinner! Aloha and welcome to an evening of delicious food, much laughter and MURDER!

Enjoy a Hawaiian Luau style dinner while using your best detective skills to figure out who dun it. We encourage you to dress the part and interact with the characters. However, if you prefer, you are welcome to just sit back, relax, and watch things unfold. Either way, you are sure to have a grand time.

This is a RESERVATION ONLY event. Please call 937-652-3701 (or stop by Freshwater Farms) by March 23rd to make your paid reservation.

$45/person.

cobblestone hotel nearing completion

Urbana's Cobblestone Hotel is nearing completion and all of Champaign County has been eager to watch the continued progress!

The three-story, 54-room hotel is being built at intersection of 68 & 55 on the south end of Urbana.

The project is expected to be completed by summer 2020.

uu hosts tuskegee airman

Lt. Col. Harold Brown of the Tuskegee Airman's next speaking and book signing event will be in Urbana, Ohio at Urbana University. On April 7, 2020, Urbana University students, and community visitors will have the unique opportunity to engage with history when Lieutenant Colonel Harold Brown, Tuskegee Airman, visits campus to talk about the role he and other black men played in World War II.

Dragonfly Vineyard & Wine Cellar hosts Sommelier-led Wine Class to learn & talk about wine on Saturday, February 29th from 10AM-12PM.

Sommelier Dave Kusz MySomm leads us through experiences to understand the different attributes of wine, and then we taste 6 different wines with food pairings to recognize these attributes more clearly.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED to make sure we prepare enough supplies. Our first offering of this class sold out. You will want to register early.

The Champaign Family YMCA is hosting a Community Equipment Swap March 8 at the Y from 1-8 PM. You can come swap your old equipment or just come look at our selection of gloves, helmets, cleats, and bats donated by the community. Kids grow FAST, and this is a great opportunity to find new sizes and styles without breaking the bank!

DROP OFF's ARE ENCOURAGED TO BE MADE ANYTIME BEFORE MARCH 8TH AT THE Y!

SWAPPING EQUIPMENT IS NOT NECESSARY - ALL ARE WELCOME TO COME CHECK OUT WHAT'S IN STOCK!

urbana FFA hosts annual pancake & sausage breakfast

Join Urbana FFA for the Annual Pancake & Sausage breakfast to be held in the Urbana High School cafeteria on Saturday, February 29th from 7:30AM-11AM.

Pre-sale tickets are encouraged and can be purchased from any FFA member or by contacting the FFA Advisors.
Pre-sale tickets = $6.00
At the door tickets = $7.00

The meal is a sit down style with pancakes (all-U-can-eat), sausage patties, and drink. Milk, orange juice and coffee will be provided.

9th Annual empty bowls of champaign county

Join us for the 9th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser at Urbana University's Student Center (Sara Landess Room) for Second Harvest Food Bank! This event takes place on Thursday, February 27th from 5-7PM.

Obtain a beautiful handcrafted bowl and enjoy local soup and bread while reducing food insecurity in the community.

For a donation of $15 you will receive a handcrafted bowl and soup and bread from local restaurants.

The Farmer's Daughter will host a fundraising event for Sycamore House on Tuesday, February 25th from 5PM - 8PM.

The Farmers Daughter will donate up to 15% of sales to go to Sycamore House Pregnancy and Family Life Center.

Sycamore House is a faith-based non-profit agency that offer compassionate support and assistance in the areas of prenatal needs, child rearing skills and even relationship information for mothers & fathers.
