West Liberty to Celebrate Grand Opening of Friendship Alley on June 17

4/7/2026

West Liberty Friendship Alley Grand Opening
The West Liberty community will soon have a new place to gather, connect, and unwind as village leaders prepare to officially open Friendship Alley with a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 17 at 5:00 PM in downtown West Liberty.

A former traditional working alley, the space will be thoughtfully reimagined into a welcoming, pedestrian-friendly destination designed to bring people together. Featuring outdoor couches, comfortable seating areas, decorative lighting, and artistic elements, Friendship Alley offers a fresh and inviting atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

The June 17 event will include an official ribbon cutting in partnership with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, along with remarks from Village Administrator Richard Ford as the community celebrates the transformation of the space.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy dinner from the Hound Dogs Food Truck, with additional entertainment expected throughout the evening. Plans are underway to include live music, with more details to be announced as the event approaches.

Designed as a family-friendly gathering space, Friendship Alley aims to serve as a central hub where visitors can relax, meet friends, and enjoy time in the heart of downtown—whether stopping by for food, conversation, or simply a place to sit and take in the surroundings.

Additional event details, entertainment, and activities will be announced in the coming weeks as the grand opening draws closer.
