Urbana’s Own Damon Darling Launches “Meemaw Fuel” Coffee — Sells Out in Just Three Hours

Local comedian-turned-national entertainer Damon Darling is celebrating another big win — and this time, it’s brewing in a coffee cup.

The Urbana native’s debut coffee brand, Meemaw Fuel, sold out its entire first release in just three hours, with the launch video reaching more than one million views in the first 48 hours.

Damon, known for incorporating his small-town roots into his stand-up routines, credits the name and inspiration for Meemaw Fuel to his mother and grandmother, who raised him.

“My mom and my grandma pretty much raised me — no dad around. Meemaws were all I had. There would be no Damon without a Meemaw,” he said.

The coffee concept also comes from a personal tradition Damon shares with his wife — bonding over trying different coffee spots when they first met. He explains that the brand was built on their shared love of great-tasting coffee and the belief that coffee fuels ambition.

“I’m a go-getter, and I feel like if you drink coffee it’s because you want to keep going… Coffee is for hustlers, people who chase their dreams.”

While Damon’s career has taken him from viral internet pranks to sold-out national tours, he continues to proudly represent Urbana and the community that supported him from the start.

“It’s proof that I believed in myself when nobody else did. It’s a promise to my younger self that we’re not stuck. We can build something real.”
