urbana fireworks back on thanks to local rotary

Thanks to generous individuals in our county the Urbana Rotary club is organizing the Fourth of July fireworks. The event will be taking place on July 4th and fireworks begin at 10 PM.  

Due to the recent COVID-19 events, many local firework displays were cancelled including our own but our community rallied together to continue make this event possible.

There will be a few changes to the typical event. The airport gates will not be open and the there will no chicken barbecue. The community is being encouraged to safely socially distance between the airport gates and State Route 68. 

It's also important to note there will be no port-a-potties on the premises so those attending are asked to plan accordingly.
