Memorial Hospital Nationally Recognized with Prestigious Dual Patient Experience Rankings & Healthgrades Award

Reinforcing its long-standing commitment to patient experience, Memorial Hospital has announced the organization has earned two prestigious national ratings for overall patient care, as well as the national 2025 Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award.

Memorial Hospital has earned a five-star rating for overall hospital quality, in addition to a five-star rating for patient experience of care by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) summary star ratings. CMS rates hospitals from one to five stars, based on their safety, efficiency, and patient experience.

The ratings provide consumers with a comparison tool that can be used to help make informed decisions about their healthcare. Additionally, Memorial was the only hospital in Central Ohio to receive the 2025 Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award, which recognizes hospitals that provide top-quality care while ensuring a positive healthcare experience for patients. Recipients of the award earned the highest overall scores. These 377 hospitals represent the top 15% of hospitals in the nation for patient experience.

Healthgrades analyzed data from 3,059 hospitals that submitted at least 100 patient experience surveys to CMS between January and December 2023, using 10 metrics from the HCAHPS patient survey data. The following hospitals in Ohio were bestowed the Outstanding Patient Experience Award:
