Isaac Sertell Signs with Mount Vernon Nazarene University

​West Liberty-Salem High School proudly announces that senior Isaac Sertell has signed his letter of commitment to continue his academic and athletic career at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he will play baseball for the Cougars.

Family members, Tiger coaches, travel ball coaches, teammates, and friends gathered Thursday evening to celebrate this significant milestone. The event reflected the pride and appreciation felt by those who have supported Isaac throughout his journey.

Opportunities to compete at the collegiate level are earned through years of

commitment and discipline. Sertell’s achievement is the result of early mornings, additional work in the batting cage, long tournament weekends, weight room sessions, and a consistent drive to improve. Throughout his time at West Liberty-Salem, he has represented the Tigers with toughness, coachability, and a team-first mindset, qualities that have earned the respect of teammates and coaches alike.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Sertell has demonstrated a strong commitment to academics, successfully balancing the responsibilities of being a high-level student-athlete. That dedication both on the field and in the classroom has positioned him for continued success at the collegiate level.
