“This endorsement provides our students with confidence that their coursework aligns with state expectations and prepares them for certification and employment,” said Tammy Watt, professor of the social services technology program at Clark State College. “It reflects our commitment to preparing students to enter the career field ready to meet real-world needs and strengthen the communities they serve.”
Clark State’s social work assistant program prepares students for careers assisting licensed social workers and human services professionals in social service agencies, mental health organizations, health care facilities, schools and nonprofit agencies. Students gain knowledge in ethical practice, cultural competence, communication and social systems, providing graduates with a strong academic and professional foundation. The endorsement also assures employers that Clark State graduates have completed a curriculum aligned with recognized statewide standards, as well as reinforcing the college’s role in preparing skilled professionals to make a meaningful impact across the region. Students are currently enrolling for the spring semester, which begins Jan. 12. Financial aid is available.
