Champaign County Library Hosts Free E-Waste Recycling Event

Mark your calendars! On April 25th from 9 AM to 1 PM, the Champaign County Library is hosting a Free E-Waste Recycling event at 1060 Scioto St., Urbana, OH 43078. This event offers residents a chance to safely and responsibly dispose of old and unused electronics — at no cost.

​The library, in partnership with Accurate IT Services and supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the State Library of Ohio, aims to reduce harmful electronic waste in landfills while promoting environmental sustainability.

What’s Accepted?
A wide range of items can be recycled, including:

• Tablets, Phones, Computers, and Printers
• Cables, Keyboards, and Mice
• Cameras, Speakers, and Floppy Drives
• Small Appliances like Toasters and Microwaves
• Lithium-ion Batteries, Battery Chargers, and Air Conditioners
• Video Game Systems, Cable Boxes, CDs, DVDs, and DVD Players

What’s Not Accepted?
Please note that TVs and CRT Monitors will not be accepted. The library and its partners also reserve the right to refuse any other items.
