Champaign Community Foundation Provides Grant to Summer Theater Camp for Youth for Student Scholarships

​The Champaign Community Foundation is excited to announce one of their 2026 grants of $450 to Summer Theater Camp for Youth for 3 individual student scholarships. This is a two-week summer camp for youth ages 12-19 that develops skills in communication, self-confidence,  teamwork, focus, creative thinking, and leadership. Their mission is to encourage youth and inspire success, while building

​the leaders of tomorrow. Alice in Wonderland is to be performed this summer, which will be their fourth year in existence.

Lynn Adell Mirtes, Founder and Board President shares that their community support has 
reached new heights this year and that 2026 represents a turning point for the program’s sustainability and community backing. “We may have turned a corner this year as many more businesses, organizations, and individuals made contributions,” Mirtes said. “We so appreciate their generosity and support."

The Champaign Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Springfield Foundation that supports efforts to improve the quality of life in Champaign County, Ohio. Managed by the trusted expertise of the local Champaign County Advisory Board of Directors, this endowment fund generates sustainable income to support Champaign County. Endowment funds play a vital role in sustaining organizations that shape our community's fabric, preserving Champaign County for future generations.

Contributions to the Champaign Community Foundation Endowment Fund are welcome from individuals, businesses, and organizations passionate about supporting our community.  Donations can be made directly to the Springfield Foundation, designated for the Champaign Community Foundation.
