Champaign Community Foundation Provides Grant to Champaign Family YMCA forSummer Enrichment & Access Support

​The Champaign Community Foundation is excited to announce one of their 2026 grants of $1,000 to the Champaign Family YMCA for their Summer Enrichment & Access Support. This helps reduce financial and transportation barriers for children and families participating in Champaign Family YMCA summer camp and enrichment programs. Grant funds will be used to support program supplies and 

offset transportation-related costs, including YMCA-organized field trip transportation and potential limited transportation assistance for families administered by the YMCA. 

Greg Hower, CEO shares, “transportation continues to be one of the most common barriers preventing families from accessing summer enrichment opportunities. By addressing both program costs and access challenges, this project ensures that more children can safely participate in educational, physical, and social enrichment activities throughout the summer months.”

The Champaign Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Springfield Foundation that supports efforts to improve the quality of life in Champaign County, Ohio. Managed by the trusted expertise of the local Champaign County Advisory Board of Directors, this endowment fund generates sustainable income to support Champaign County. Endowment funds play a vital role in sustaining organizations that shape our community's fabric, preserving Champaign County for future generations.
