501(c)3 that was started and is run by Todd Woodruff. They began with only 26 participants and now there are more than 55 participants.
This unique project allows all children, especially those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to, the opportunity to participate in 4H. All costs are covered up-front so that payments don’t need to be settled until after sales at the fair. Feed and housing are provided for the animals, while supervision, educational clinics, and transportation are provided for the participants. Benefits of this club include, but are not limited to, learning the importance of responsibility, the basics of economics and marketing, as well as gaining self-confidence, decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills, all while earning money and having fun. The Champaign Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Springfield Foundation that supports efforts to improve the quality of life in Champaign County, Ohio. Managed by the trusted expertise of the local Champaign County Advisory Board of Directors and the Springfield Foundation staff, this endowment fund generates sustainable income to support Champaign County.
