OTTERBEIN SENIORLIFE FINALIZES AFFILIATION - Green Hills Community is now Otterbein Green Hills SeniorLife Community

Together – We are Stronger!

(Lebanon, OH/West Liberty, OH) – Effective immediately, Green Hills Community and Universal Home Health and Hospice (a Green Hills operated home-based services entity), have agreed to become part of the Otterbein SeniorLife organization.

The Otterbein Green Hills SeniorLife Community, as it is now called, is one of 26 entities in the Otterbein senior care network. The Otterbein network is comprised of 11 senior communities, 9 stand-alone nursing neighborhoods, two home health agencies, three hospice agencies, and a staffing agency.

Spain's Service Center Becomes Ohio Auto and Truck Center

Effective January 1, 2025, Spain's Service Center will rebrand as Ohio Auto and Truck Center, marking a new chapter in its history. This transformation highlights the company’s commitment to excellence as Central Ohio’s premier auto and truck repair and collision facility.

The center will continue offering a wide array of services, from routine maintenance to advanced repairs and auto body work. The team looks forward to delivering the same trusted service under its new name.

Ring in the New Year at the North Lewisburg Library!

Kids, get ready for an evening of fun at the North Lewisburg Branch Library on Saturday, December 30, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Celebrate the new year with music, dancing, games, prizes, and delicious pizza. The evening wraps up with an exciting balloon drop at 7:00 p.m.

Pointe North Nature Park Poised to Reopen

A popular haven for fishing enthusiasts, hikers and nature lovers, just north of
Urbana, will reopen to the public on weekends, beginning January 4 and 5, 2025.

The 225-acre Pointe North Nature Park, on city-owned land at 2200 N. U.S. Highway

68, has been closed to the public since May 2020, after some visitors overfished the park’s ponds, dumped trash, and rutted the grounds with four wheelers.

BINGOcize Program Launches at Green Hills in January

Green Hills Community is excited to offer BINGOcize, a unique 10-week health program that combines the fun of BINGO with inclusive exercises for all fitness levels. Sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. starting January 7 in Foundation Hall at Green Hills, located at 6557 US 68 South, West Liberty.

Participants can RSVP by calling the Green Hills hotline at 937.465.0700. For questions, contact Leah Trout, Director of Life Enrichment, at 937.650.7121. This program is presented in partnership with the Logan County Health District.

Grant Helps Champaign County Students Access Affordable Driver’s Education

Champaign County is celebrating a milestone in youth education and safety with a special grant through the Department of Public Safety. This initiative has made it possible for 100 students across the county to receive classroom and driving instruction for driver’s education at an incredibly reduced rate of just $25!
