Urbana FFA Revives Meals of Hope Fundraiser to Fight Hunger

After a hiatus since 2020, the Urbana FFA Chapter is bringing back its Meals of Hope fundraiser, an event dedicated to fighting food insecurity in Champaign and Logan Counties. With a goal of raising $16,000 to package 50,000 meals, the initiative is driven by students passionate about making a difference in their community.

This Saturday, April 5th, Crossway Vineyard Church is bringing a message of generosity and kindness to Monument Square in downtown Urbana. As part of their "Spread Kindness" campaign leading up to Easter Sunday, church members will be giving away dozens of eggs—no strings attached.

From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, visitors to Monument Square can receive free eggs as a gesture of goodwill from the church community. According to Lead Pastor David Welker, the event is designed to share positivity and encourage acts of kindness throughout Urbana.
