Egg My Yard is back! 4-H Food, Fashion, & Creative Arts Board members will Egg Your Yard with candy-filled eggs for your kids to hunt the next morning. Eggs will be placed on Saturday, April 8th between 5 PM and 9 PM.

**House must be in Champaign County**
$20 for 25 eggs
$35 for 50 eggs

WL-S hosts Academic Excellence Banquet

WEST LIBERTY – On Thursday, March 17th, West Liberty-Salem Local Schools administrators recognized 85 High School students at the Academic Excellence Banquet. Students invited to the banquet are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher for the entire school year. For some students this commitment begins in 8th grade if they are selected to begin HS level Algebra and Biology classes. For others, this includes their college level courses and high school classes combined.

Mr. Johnson opened the ceremony remarking that the students being recognized are among some of the top leaders in the school. Many students are athletes, artists, fine art students including band and choir. Some students were in both sports and musical or community action organizations. They are active in the FFA, Student Council, 4H, church and other clubs both in and outside of school. Still, their commitment and dedication to their studies proves they have learned to maintain a high level of self-discipline.

This year 24 Freshman, 26 sophomores, 17 juniors, and 18 seniors were recognized. Seniors, who are invited for the third or fourth year, are also invited to honor an educator that made a positive impact on their academic experience. Sixteen of the 18 seniors have attended 3 or four years consecutively.

The West Liberty–Salem National Honor Society and FCCLA chapters sponsored our annual dodgeball tournament Saturday evening. This event raised $200 dollars for the Caring Kitchen in Urbana, the chosen charity of the senior members.

URBANa Lofts hosts Open House March 31

URBANa Lofts will be having it's official Open House on March 31st from 12 PM - 2PM and 4 PM - 6PM with a ribbon cutting at 12 PM. They will be providing snacks, beer, and wine for all those looking to come see our new spaces.

The new 9 Lofts are as true to their historic roots as possible (Restored original hardwood, exposed brick, exposed beams, 11' - 12' ceiling heights, 12" trim etc), yet completely modernized with high efficiency HVAC, Lighting, Appliances, Windows etc.

All mechanicals are new for optimal performance (Plumbing, Electric, HVAC). Tenants will only have one utility bill - electric. Landlord pays for trash and water.

Come join them in their excitement to celebrate 2 years of hard work to transform one of Urbana's most under-utilized buildings, into one of it's hottest centers!
