West Liberty-Salem hosted its Middle School Spelling Bee on Tuesday, January 28th. After an impressive 30 rounds, sixth-grader Caizen Anders emerged victorious, clinching the win with the word "tersely." Caizen faced a fierce competition from eighth-grader Drew Piacentino, who battled head-to-head with him for the final 19 rounds.

Participants from grades 6 through 8 displayed remarkable determination. The event showcased talent from each grade, with students like Shiloh Cole, Addy Brannon, and Alexa Beard proudly representing their classes. Congratulations to all the contestants!
