SHARED LIVING AND EMPLOYMENT MANAGER

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of the Shared Living and Employment Manager is to organize and ensure efficient and effective operation of community living services through support of staff, facilities, and infrastructure.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serves as captain of the OSL and Employment teams and cultivates enthusiasm, delegates daily tasks, and takes initiative in servant leadership. Build relationships with shared living contractors to fulfill individuals’ goals to achieve successful community integrated living.
  
• Sets up and performs annual site visits, manages homes, job sites, monitor appearance of building and property according to standards, and report concerns as needed.
  
• Coordinates with Navigator for ISP meetings and revisions and attends meetings when necessary. Coordinates with external parties such as doctors, bosses, payee, day program provider, transportation, and guardian when necessary to ensure clients’ needs are met.
  
• Monitor staff schedules, approve employee hours, and set up and instruct individual specific training. Approves time off requests and fills in as needed in staff absences. Hold employees accountable for job performance, complete employee quarterly 1:1 review and consult HR for conduct as necessary. Monitor weekly staff schedules and ensures that all shifts are covered. If shifts cannot be covered – cover shifts for sick/absent staff or ensure arrangements are made. Offers support to DSPs in coverage as needed.
  
• Serves as a mentor for new staff in upholding standard DODD procedure, Downsize Farm philosophy, program quality, and client development. Train, support and hold direct care staff accountable to complete all services and documentation. This includes meds, personal funds, daily documentation, emergency drills and service documentation.
  
• Support OSL Contractors and Job Specialists in Incident reports and coordinate with corresponding Navigator to investigate and report MUIs and UIs. Work with contractors in training and service changes that result from Incidents. Support team in crisis intervention implementation as needed.
  
• Train, support and hold OSL contractors and Job Specialists accountable to complete all services and documentation. This includes meds, personal funds, daily documentation, emergency drills, service documentation, and continued training. Balance ledgers for personal funds, transcribe meds to the MAR and delegate contractors, and create emergency escape plans.
  
• All other duties as presented.

Daily Weekly Monthly Quarterly Annually PRN

• Work direct Care as needed.
  
• Handle Daily staff concerns/calls. • Ensure Billing and Payroll is correct. Work with staff to correct. Let the Finance Manager know when complete.
  
• Monitor and Correct weekly schedule. • Make personal schedule with call -offs upcoming meetings, site visits, due dates for documentation etc.
  
• 1:1 with coordinator.
  
• Residential team meeting.
  
• Reconcile HPC ledgers. (Except ones where direct care was performed) • 1:1 Staff check-ins
  
• Quarterly Trainings-Work with Coordinator to ensure all info is shared at training.
  
• Ensure all staff attend training and plan make ups as needed. • IST training (When multiple staff to individual)
  
• Staff evaluations.
  
• Stand Alone training with staff.
  
• Vehicle inspection with staff
  
• QA/POC process. • Staff correction/conduct.
  
• Interview new staff.
  
• Find coverage for call-offs.
  
• Work with Staff in crisis and MUI/UI Investigations.
  
• Retrain staff as needed and ensure POCs are being followed. ​
