Mechanicsburg Police Department Hiring Full-Time Officer

The Village of Mechanicsburg Police Department is actively seeking candidates to join its dedicated law enforcement team as a full-time police officer. Applications are being accepted now and will remain open until the position is filled.

Serving the community since 1834, the Mechanicsburg Police Department is looking for qualified individuals who are committed to protecting and serving with integrity.

​Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Vision correctable to 20/20​

• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Current and valid OPOTA (Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy) Certificate

• Starting salary of $22.01/hour (with a $0.50 increase after a six-month probation period)
• 12-hour rotating shifts
• Every other weekend off (three days)
