The role is ideal for an energetic, patient, and creative educator who is passionate about supporting students with high cognitive abilities, autism, and behavioral needs. The Intervention Specialist will help lead a structured program tailored to these students and collaborate closely with general education teachers to create opportunities for both enrichment and inclusive instruction.
Applicants should hold a valid Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist license. Experience working with students with autism or behavioral challenges is preferred. A satisfactory criminal background check is required, and candidates must either be credentialed in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) or be willing to attend a four-day TCI training and pass the associated test. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 7.5 hours per day, five days per week, for a total of 184 days per school year.
