Based at 927 N. Main Street in Urbana, the position focuses on providing hands-on support through daily programming, skill-building activities, and personalized care.

The Client Advocate role plays a key part in helping individuals develop social, vocational, and independent living skills.

Responsibilities include building positive relationships with clients, supporting Individual Service Plans (ISPs), assisting with daily activities, and responding to health-related needs when necessary.

A unique aspect of the position includes leading a vocational cooking class, where clients learn practical life and job skills such as food preparation, safety, teamwork, and responsibility.

Additional duties include maintaining accurate documentation, communicating client progress with team members, and assisting with transportation as needed. Candidates must also follow Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) regulations and uphold the organization’s mission-driven approach to care.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain certifications such as First Aid/CPR and medication administration. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and an interest in teaching life skills are preferred.
