Experience in OSHA record keeping and training in various safety programs including lockout/tagout, hazardous communication, personal protective equipment, injury reporting and other related programs required. Experience in all areas of OSHA site inspections and accident investigations a must. Experience in mechanical power presses.

Urbana Veterinary Clinic is currently looking for possibly two Veterinary Assistant/Client Care Specialists. If you are hard-working, friendly and outgoing, and have good pet handling skills, this may be the position for you. We are a very busy clinic, open 6 days a week with 2 full-time and 2 part-time doctors. Experience is a plus but we are willing to train the right candidate. Duties include: assisting doctors in rooms, filling medications, helping with x-rays and ultrasounds, holding for acupuncture and chiropractic patients, light cleaning, answering phones, checking in and out patients, and overall helping out fellow team members. Must be able to interact easily with doctors and other staff in a fast pace environment. Good customer service skills are a must!

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:

Be able to handle dogs and cats of all sizes (among other species)

Primary Activities/Duties:
  • Set-up, operate and maintain machinery to produce parts in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Produce sheet metal products as scheduled by Production Control and Supervisor.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working order with the support of the Maintenance Department.
  • Assure quality of products by following current ISO procedures and engineering tolerances as determined by Rittal.

Knowledge & Experience:
  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Ability to use tools of measurement and have basic math skills required.
  • Previous brake press operation is preferred.

Physical, Mental, & Safety Requirements:

Involves many facets of the building process that would include plan reading, operating specialized equipment, operation of numerous hand and power tools, basic wood framing, installation of various siding and roofing materials including hi-rib steel, shingles, wood sidings and mortar less masonry units.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Efficiently execute tasks needed to complete a quality building including but not limited to: digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, entry and other doors and door openings, installing various siding and roofing materials including hi-rib steel, shingles, wood and other siding materials and mortarless masonry units, finishing with metal and wood trims.

Keep current with and apply the Walters Building’s safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards to every building.

QUALIFICATIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS: Manufacturing experience required (paper experience preferred). Ability to work swing shift and be trained on multiple positions. Effectively utilize SAP.
